NVIDIA to Manufacture in US for First Time
NVIDIA is achieving significant advancements in the development of AI supercomputers in the United States.
The company is collaborating with various manufacturing partners to establish factories that will produce NVIDIA AI supercomputers in the U.S. for the very first time.
According to the company blog post, they’ve already locked down more than a million square feet for the production and testing of NVIDIA Blackwell chips in Arizona, as well as AI supercomputers in Texas.
NVIDIA has begun production of its Blackwell chips at TSMC’s facilities in Phoenix, Arizona. Additionally, NVIDIA is setting up supercomputer manufacturing facilities in Texas, partnering with Foxconn in Houston and Wistron in Dallas. As per the company, these plants should start mass production in roughly 12 to 15 months.
NVIDIA is teaming up with Amkor and SPIL to help with packaging and testing operations in Arizona.
NVIDIA aims to create up to $500 billion in AI infrastructure in the U.S. over the next four years, collaborating with partners like TSMC, Foxconn, Wistron, Amkor, and SPIL. The firm says that the partnerships not only enhance NVIDIA’s supply chain but also support these companies in expanding their businesses globally.
NVIDIA’s AI supercomputers play a vital role in the new data centers that are specifically built for artificial intelligence, commonly referred to as AI factories. To finalize, the company said, “In the next few years, we can anticipate the construction of numerous large-scale gigawatt AI factories.”
